Build a Permission-Aware DJ or Production Library
DJs and producers should start with original files they own, licensed promo downloads, or tracks whose creators have enabled an official SoundCloud download. A public stream or playlist is not a production license and should not be treated as one.
Choose the Correct Source Before the Format
For a creator-downloadable individual track, the public workflow can offer MP3 and WAV when available. Use MP3 for portable references and WAV only when an authorized source and editing workflow justify the larger file.
